Meet Your Physician
Dr. Daniel Gavrila, the founder of Nova MFM, is a double board OB/GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist with more than 25 years of experience caring for women with complex pregnancies in Bellevue and the greater Seattle area. He previously served as Medical Director for the Eastside Maternal Medicine group in Bellevue, where he provided expert ultrasound and consultative services for high-risk pregnancies. He is recognized for his diagnostic expertise, thoughtful counseling, and collaborative approach with referring providers. At Nova MFM, Dr. Gavrila combines advanced fetal imaging with a personalized, concierge-style approach. His model allows extended appointment times, direct communication, and close coordination with each patient’s obstetrician for continuity of care.
Dr Gavrila's areas of special interest and expertise include :
- Advanced cervical Shirodkar cerclages located near the internal os,(similar to a transabdominal cerclage) for prophylactic and rescue indications
- Recurrent pregnancy losses
- Diagnosis and management of complex thrombophilia implications in pregnancy
- Fetal growth restriction
- Hypertension in pregnancy
- Prevention of premature delivery

Our clinic brings together advanced practitioners, nurses and sonographers who share a commitment to excellence in prenatal diagnostics and high risk pregnancy management. Yulia has spent more than 20 years working in healthcare, growing into a leadership role as a Clinic Supervisor. She enjoys supporting our clinical team, improving clinic operations, and helping create a positive experience for patients and their families. Yulia believes that strong teamwork and a supportive environment make a meaningful difference in the care that we provide.
Angie
Sonographer
Angie Wong is an experienced sonographer with over 30 years in field, including the last 20 years specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. A graduate of Seattle University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sonography, she is passionate about using her expertise to help providers and families by giving them the most accurate information about their pregnancies. Angie is a native Washingtonian and enjoys spending time with her husband, grown children, and their dog, Kona. She also loves to travel and anything crafty!
Bailey
Sonographer
Bailey is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine sonographer with 17 years of experience in obstetric imaging. Registered in both OB/GYN and Fetal Echo, specializing in providing detailed, high quality exams for both routine and high-risk pregnancies.
Creating a calm and welcoming environment so every patient feels seen, supported and cared for is at the heart of her work. Whether a moment brings excitement or uncertainty, it’s a privilege to provide compassionate care through the images she captures.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, hosting game nights, and unwinding with a good true crime documentary.
Michelle
Sonographer
Michelle has built a career grounded in expertise, compassion, and a commitment to patient care. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound from Seattle University in 2005 and began her professional journey at Seattle Children’s, where she worked from 2005 to 2012. Since then, she has had the privilege of working in Maternal Fetal Medicine alongside Dr. Gavrila.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two sons, and their dog Walter.
